Maybe you’re like me and you sit, watching television (we can still call it that right?) and you see the upcoming ‘new series’ for a network and you just know it – you can already see pastors around the country calling their design team to start the process on creating a series with the same title of a new show.

This blog post is open for participation – let’s go ahead and save people a lot of time and money.  I’m not saying that churches should not take from mainstream pop culture and use it as a bridge for communication – I do wish however that in our most sincere intentions in imitation that we will not forget to use our God-given Imagination.

Here are a few of my 2010 Church Message Series Predictions (with added subtitles by me just to get your ideas engineering…

From the networks of NBC, ABC, CBS, Discovery Channel, HBO, FX, CW, TNT, and FOX

How could you leave out “The Office” (How to be normal when everyone else is CRAZY)

Some, like The Office, are just too obvious and overused. And then of course, I didn’t even address the movies from 09 or 10.

The message is imagination and creativity. And what if we challenged people to (1)one point messages – I can see pastors everywhere needing medication for anxiety attacks because they can’t do three or four points.
